The Bank of Thailand's business sector survey for the first quarter cites political uncertainty, unclear economic policy, the baht's volatility and a shortage of skilled labour as key limitations. The survey of 170 firms indicated that investment and consumption slowed in the first quarter of 2007. Overall industrial manufacturing slowed, except for export-oriented products, due to poor confidence. New large-scale investments also decreased, with most new spending for production maintenance and reducing bottlenecks.
For companies that have an accounting year starting from Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2006, the deadline for the annual corporate income tax filing is May 30, 2007.
