The Home Builders Association has warned building companies not to use pricing as a competitive element because of the rising trend in construction costs. Sakda Tovisudhi, the association's president, said construction material costs would increase gradually in the second half of this year or by early next year at the latest, reflecting manufacturers' higher costs, mainly due to the price of oil.

The Supply Chain Council is a not-for-profit organisation with a worldwide presence through eight chapters. It aims to compile best practices and develop key metrics through its member network, in order to support ongoing scm development.
